Greetings Brethren,

I hope that you have had a pleasant start to 2009, and are ready to participate in our spring barbecue sale.  The spring sale distribution day is Saturday, May 2.  Our fundraisers are a vital part of the Lodge's operation, ad are crucial to our ability to support the community and contribute to the greater good.  When we work together we can accomplish great things, and create a reputation for our Lodge and institution that we can all e proud of.

Brethren, we need your help in promoting and selling our product.  We have distributed a letter to every member of the Lodge. Enclosed are ten (10) tickets, each which can be redeemed for one pound of delicious chopped North Carolina style barbecue.  The cost per ticket is only $ 6.00.  Please sell the tickets as soon as you can and return the money to the Lodge. We are trying to keep a good record of sales so that we know far in advance how much product to prepare, and can avoid waste.

Selling ten pounds is an excellent goal for each of you, however, if you are able to sell more tickets, please contact me or any other officer as soon s possible, and we will be happy to provide you with more tickets.  If anyone asks, you can be comfortable telling them that the proceeds will support the Lodge n all of its charitable activities.

Ticket holders ay pick up their barbecue at any of our distribution sites, which are located at the Sandston Baptist Church parking lot, the Bottoms Bridge Texaco, and the Providence Forge Food Lion.  At these sites, members of the participating Lodges will be available to distribute the pre-sold product, as well as sell any extra bbq that may be available between 10:00 am and 12:00 noon. 

If you are able, we would greatly appreciate your assistance in preparing the product during the week before the sale.
